Chrome, Reinvented: Inside Vinimay's Air Cushion Aurora Chrome Powder
Chrome nails have never gone out of style. What has always held them back is the process: a jar of loose powder, a spatula, a fan brush, and a work surface that ends up looking like a glitter crime scene. The finish is beautiful, but the method is slow, wasteful, and hard to teach.
Vinimay's new Air Cushion Aurora Chrome Powder fixes the method without touching the finish. It puts the powder where it belongs — inside the bottle — and gives it a heart-shaped cap that looks as good on a shelf as the effect looks on a nail.
One bottle, no loose powder
Instead of pouring powder into a lid and loading a brush, the Air Cushion system holds the powder beneath a soft cushion puff inside the bottle. Press the puff onto the nail and it releases a thin, even layer of pigment exactly where you want it.
Three things follow from that design:
• Far less fallout. Powder stays in the bottle instead of drifting onto the desk, the client's clothes, or the floor. • Faster service. No loading, tapping off, or cleaning up between nails — one press covers the nail. • Less waste per set. A controlled release means you use what the nail needs, not what a brush happens to pick up.
For salons running chrome as an add-on, that difference shows up directly in product cost per service and in how long the appointment runs. For distributors, it means a product that is genuinely easy to demonstrate — and easy for a new technician to reproduce.
The heart cap is not just decoration
The bottle is finished in a mirror-silver body with a clear, heart-shaped cap. It photographs well, it reads instantly as a gift-worthy item, and it separates the line from the same generic chrome jar every competitor stocks.
That matters more than it sounds. Chrome powder is usually sold as a consumable in a plain container. Putting it in packaging a client will actually notice turns an add-on service into retail stock: something a salon can display at the front desk, and something a customer can buy to take home and use over her own gel manicure.
An aurora range, not a single mirror
The current chart runs from VD-001 to VD-030, covering the shades that actually sell: classic silver and pearl white, warm gold and champagne, rose and bronze, plus the aurora tones — teal, emerald, violet, magenta, and the iridescent shifts that photograph so well on camera.
Because the effect is thin and translucent, the same powder reads differently depending on the base color underneath. A silver over a nude base gives a soft pearl; the same silver over black gives a hard mirror. That is where the range becomes a creative tool rather than a color list: one bottle, several looks, and a reason for clients to come back for a different finish.
How to use it
Wholesale and private label
The Air Cushion Aurora Chrome Powder is available from 20 pcs per color, with private-label options for distributors building their own line. Bottles, boxes, and labels can carry your brand, and shades can be selected as a set or as individual bestsellers.
If you would like to test the effect before committing to a range, we can send samples so your technicians can compare finishes on your own gel system.
